Buying my first snowboard Help!?

I have skii'd for a while..I want to buy my first board/bindings/boots today but i dont know where to buy it from. Im looking thru a site called "the-house.com" looks like they have good stuff..alghouh im a noob..i want to start doing park rather then mountain boarding. However is it possible to correctly do both with the same board? What is a recommended brand im looking at rome..should my board be up to my chin or shoulders?
