Does anyone else feel like the USA is on the brink of another Civil War?

With the up coming election coming this November every facet of our lives has been bombarded with information on both candidates not to mention both parties. It seems as though the line isn't as fuzzy anymore as to what society as a whole believes. And, we are being forced to choose sides. You're either for the war or against it. You're either for abortion or against it. You're either for drilling in Alaska or against it. You're either for the government helping with the mortgage crisis or against it. You're either for the values of the heartland or the values of coastlines. You're either one thing or the other. There doesn't seem to be any in between in the world of politics. I feel like we're getting to a breaking point of what people will tolerate from our government. The checks and balances are off, the two party system doesn't seem to be working any more, and just as many people vote against the president as those who vote for the president. I'm interested to hear your thoughts on things.
