Has anyone worked with ADBOOKER in advertising service position for NewsPaper?

I am an advertising coordinator/booker for a newspaper. I just started last week. They use Mactive's Adbase and Adbooker. From what i have heard this is severely outdated software. And I just want some other peoples opinions of this software and what they have found while using it, also any tips on making life easier with using this database.
