How might you be able to tell whether a broth culture you plated was a mixed or a pure culture?

"Plating out" means to make a well-diluted streak on some form nutrient agar.to see what (if anything) grows. If I had to determine if a culture was mixed without doing any streaking, I'd do a Gram stain on several samples first.
